Make better decisions…

Do you believe it? Do you really believe it? Not just in your head, but in your heart, too. Do you believe that where you are today is a direct result of past decisions?

I’m going to make some assumptions about you. It’s not the best decision I’ll make today–the decision to analyze you before we’ve even shared a bowl of tortilla chips. But assume I must. At least until we get to know each other a little better.

I’m guessing that you are the type of person who:

1. Wants to win at life and business (if you don’t, don’t tell anyone)

2. Understands that your decision making directly impacts your success (it’s totally cool if you want some support in this area, that’s why we’re here)

3. Has made at least one decision today (oh come on, you have to say yes to this one)

You’re in the right place, if you want to make better decisions. Not perfect decisions, there is no such animal. Not easy decisions, progress isn’t always easy. You want to make the kind of decisions that will help you reach your goal.

What’s a Decision Habit…Why does it matter?

Maybe you want to lose weight, finish writing a book, improve a relationship, learn a new skill, launch a business or any number of things. The simplest way to accomplish any goal is to get your decision habits working for you.

A decision habit is an automatic approach to decision making. Your decision habits include how you think, feel, and behave when faced with a decision. Like any other habit, a decision habit is formed over time and is hard to break.

Some decision habits are helpful, such as getting a second opinion, recognizing how your own biases can impact your judgment, and making the right choice, even if it’s scary.

Some decision habits are harmful, such as over-analysis, procrastination, and making the easy choice even when you know that it will harm you in the long run.

The reason many of us don’t enjoy the life we want is because our decision habits don’t align with our desires. But we don’t have to get stuck there.
